STEADINESS
This summer, I was practicing at this little studio in Palo Alto, California. And this teacher would put us in a pose, and challenge us to go to a point where our bodies started to get unstable.

I found that interesting. ๐ค
We so often speak and focus on building stability and control in our yoga postures.
I certainly found myself doing that.
I donโt want to go to a point where I feel unstable.
I donโt want to acknowledge I lose control.
I donโt want to let people see that I am shaking as that is showing my โweaknessโ.
What ifโฆ.

When we think we need to have to be still to get a perfect balance, maybe what we need is to deliberately find that shake, that edge, that imbalance in order to move forward and progress. ๐
Being in equilibrium breeds comfort.
Feeling off balance leads to growth.
Sometime in your practice this week, embrace that shake, that discomfort โ thatโs how we grow. โจ
